Astragalus is a traditional Chinese herb that has been used for centuries because of its properties known to strengthen vitality, stamina, disease resistance and improve the ability to cope with physical and emotional stress. It has been known to support and enhance the immune system. It is also used as an adjunctive therapy in cancer treatments as it has been found to increase the growth of natural killer T cells in your body, which destroy cancer cells, and helps to reduce the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Astragalus is known to improve adrenal gland function, sperm motility, reduces high blood pressure and helps to relieve angina pain without side effects of medicine. It can help treat bladder infections and fight the formation of kidney stones.

Preparation: For optimum results allow herb to extract in hot water and drink as a tea. Add 1-2 tsp of powder to hot water and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Add in a few goji berries or a touch of honey for sweetness if desired.

Precautions: Astragalus is non toxic at any dosage however it should not be taken with any blood thinning or beta-blocker medication as it will make this medication less effective.
